    Hello fellows, and ladies!

I thought it might be fun to start a thread for a place to showcase your new move!

In this hobby it seems we are always trying to learn a new maneuver or create a fancy new trick.

Sometimes it's just as simple as learning to fly a backward circuit... Other times people are learning to do the Mirk Doogle dismount auto rotation piro revers whoopie-doo!

At the moment I am trying to nail down skids in four point tic tocs, right rudder piro flips, and increasing my rotation rate on left rudder piro flips, to try and add spins, like double and triple piros per flip!

So what's your new challenge, or move?

    Willy

Had some bad luck here, I was really kicking butt and getting a fair amount of practice, then I had a dumb thumb... Not you normal dumb thumb, I didn't crash, but I broke the scroll wheel on my DX8... So for the rest of the day I was stuck on one model, then the next day I shipped my radio to IL for repair!

Did you have any luck with Spektrum? when my tranny was faulty i spent ages on the phone waiting for support... I gave up in the end and fixed it myself.. The DX8 is a nice transmitter when it works, menus intuitive etc.. But i had one too many issues so I went futaba - so far I have been lucky with futaba..

Here in the US Horizon handles Spektrum, and their service really is AWESOME!

You print the service form fill it out, send it in... No hassles. I did call and was on hold for hours, but I had it on speaker doing household chores so it was just to see how long it would take, 120+ minutes:rolleyes:

Yeah I just did it to see how long! LOL I have had shorter waits... After 20 minutes I was like OK, I am going to take this to the end of the line, just to see...

I think the call back is most certainly the way to go.

Mine was a 1/2 piro flip util I found out it was a Mobeus not trying to get that extra half a rotation into the piro and having some success with aileron and tail down tic-tocs

Nice moves there William. I noticed you are getting a handle on the piro tic tocks. They are a bugger to nail and accurately control direction. Nonetheless you are making great progress. So what do you think of the X3? It seems to move ok...

Yeah I got this one so I would have a backup X3, I love the X3 mate, it's a beast!

The Mini Protos probably flies a tiny bit better, likely a weight thing, but the X3 is a better platform for high power setups, the mini just can't handle high power... My X3s are 1000W machines, but they are portly at 1100+ grams... The Mini P with her stretch on is still under 900G but near as I can tell my current setup starts to falter at about 550-600W

Owww man thats some sweet juice flowing through the powertrain for sure...Apparently there is a new head and solid steel pinion coming out for the minip which might help things somewhat....

I have a experiment going on the Mini P right now, I had a custom motor wound, 1050KV, I am going to give the 17 and 18 Tooth a try, see if that helps with belt slippage

Did you try the new lynx motor pully belt guide? it protrudes slightly further in and wraps the belt harder on the pinion. @The Dude has a high powered scorpion setup and slaps the hell out of his MiniP.

LOL no the drive line cant handle the 2221-1300s power!

No I made a friend on Heli Freak, who is very knowledgeable on BLS motors, and an artist with a lathe. After he wound me a 460MX for my X3, he offered to custom wind me a hybrid motor.

It is made from parts from an Align 450MX, and a 2221, it has the MSH shaft, and is wound to turn 1050KV, my plan is to setup using the 18T pinion.

So I started to outfit the mini yesterday, but I ran into a pitfall, I know I had a new belt, but it seems I lost it... Yes I tore out all my hair looking for 5 hours, I had bought a stretch kit with no blades, I used the boom and pushrod, but the belt was in the bag, but I can't find it anywhere!
