    After practicing elevator knifeedge rolls during vertical fall slide on the sim for a few weeks and last week pulling these off succesfully. Today my 500L Dominator had its first nap in prob about 5-6months.



    (The last nap it had was during my practising nose down tic tocs. So hopefully this one will appease @Crash Heligod and provide me with free grace until the new year!

    Well it wasnt as dramatic as @3dmick 's tail slide crater a month or two ago, but enjoy the video ! (video not centred on hat, but captures final moments)

    LOL.



    entertainment factor:10/10
    lessons learn factor 10/10

    Heli landed on its front and side. Damage is far less than expected. Suspect the soft mushy grounds had something to do with it.

    Fortunately have a stock pile of bits so should be up and running again before the weekend is over !


    Requires
    ----------------------
    New Servo gears (1 servo)
    Boom
    Torque tube
    boom support rods
    main shaft suspect but looks straight
    feathering shaft suspect but looks okay
    few blade grip balljoints and rods
    main blades
    Rear umbrella gears

    Will prob go ahead and just replace bearings anyway as well.
    Just hoping gyro and speedy okay.

    Surprisingly my / frame / swash /head lived and my tail assembly looks okay and appears to have sustained no damage (not even tail blades).

      I hope sooo. LOL. I reuploaded the video with higher quality so hopefully crash does consider it valid LOL.

      I would be very cautious about the "surviving parts". Make sure you go over them very closely. Usually the surviving parts cause a followup crash

      Ha! I knew it! Inquiring minds might like to know.... How do you manage to pleasure yourself while watching crash-porn.... since you are assumably no longer anatomically correct. I.E. ..... you no longer have a bone to stroke. (Pun intended) Chew on that for awhile. :D
