Sounds like its time for some new Dampers in the head....

 

+1 on dampeners in the head, the play will go away.

Hi @iggy how have you been!.

When you start to get slop on the blade holders its time to usually change the blade grip bearings and thrust bearings along the feather-shaft as well as the head dampeners. They do wear! A few times I have pulled my head apart only to find the thrust bearing destroyed (ie ball bearings drop out everywhere).

It wont be the blade grip @smakmeharder and if your replacing the damnpers, check out the whole head... best case re-grease the thrust bearings and put them back in.. but after nearly 200 flights I would replace them as a precaution, and check the bearings are still smooth... sounds like it might be maintenace time for your heli... things I have found need checking for heli's
* dampers
* thrust bearings and and bearings in the head... including DFC links...
* Main shaft bearings... these go for no reason on align heli's
* gear wear, torque and main...
* if belt, see if its loose.. after a few hunbdred flights I would replace it as part of a maintenance cycle
* Tail assembly.. these bearings take a lot of punishment...

not what you wanted to hear.. but your heli will thank you... and you will be surprised at the difference...

 

Sorry @many i left out ONE IMPORTANT WORD .... BEARING.. Blade grip bearing. I edited my post..Your right its not the blade grip.

 

aahh and now your have editied it... I look like a dick... fair enough... glad where on the same page... but I think its time @iggy did a break down maintenance on his heli... I think you noticed a difference in yours after you, and by you, I mean @The Dude did some maintenance on the heli.

I will check the bearings as well. But if they move smooth and are in good condition I will not replace them.

Just finished the maintenance and set up with GPro. No more head or tail play. Everythings tight and running smooth. Lets go for a test flight.

 

Test flight completed. Gpro seems not to be a bad thing. But I have a tail wag now. Tail is holding only at 100% throttle. Thats not what I want. So Back to the computer and try to set it up better. Whats more.. oh yeah - it was bad ass windy and cold out there.
