Something that is not shown in the video is you can have an earpiece in and a voice can tell you the capacity of the pack and also warn you when you have reached desired capacity so you know to land. this was the main selling point for me, so dependant on your flying your timer might bring you down too soon or too late, with this jigger it's dependant on the capacity of the pack's and not the flight time, You will never over tax your packs... that should make more sense now to people ..

 

This video shows the feature much better ..

 

The earpiece isn't required, you can just set the vibe on a 14SG.
Just bought a few of these for the fleet, pretty impressive so far.

Looks Like a good product providing you have Futaba. Just a quick comparison = Graupner have a similar product for their system called Electric Air Module that also displays individual cell voltages of up to 14 cell with Vario for around $90. 2 additional temperature sensors etc can be added if more info is needed

 

Nice! The more telemetry options the better. Stuff like this is really useful.

Awesome @Fredo , I did not know about this one ..

 

The first e-fuelgauge was installed on my Logo 700 on Saturday and bench tested with the new 7003 receiver that went in ahead of the e-fuelgauge.
The install itself went smoothly, but you do need to get the soldering right for the positive cable to the ESC. I found it easier to do it off the heli by removing the ESC. There's also not much space between the two solder pads on be circuit board itself so it pays to be careful there too.
I also added a dollop of hot glue to the area where the SBUS2 cable leaves the circuit board to assist with vibration support before doing the clear heat shrink over the board.
Programming the 14SG was straightforward, but I refreshed the sensor list and the radio found everything it needed to, all I did was then allocate the type of sensor to the slot & it began working. I had to clear the magnetic offset to get the current to read zero in a no-load situation, but that was it.
Field testing was on Sunday and it all worked flawlessly. I'm still mucking with the various threshold and alarm/vibration settings as well as the data logging to SD card.
All good fun so far!
This weekend I'll fit the next e-fuel gauge to the Logo 600SX and see how that goes.

Where can you order these e fual gauge with ec5's ?? I assume with the ec5's you can then swop it from heli to heli rather than having to buy 10, one for each help??
