My name is Ron and I'm a heli addict.
I live in U.S. California, San Francisco Bay area and fly all year long.
Like many of us I started with a mall co-ax helicopter. A little over 4 years ago. It was a Christmas gift from my sister-in-law. My wife is very supportive of the hobby. Only once did she tell me not to buy something: a Goblin 500. She said, "Get the 600 you really want." So I bought a Goblin 700!
I owned a couple of FB 450's but they got blown around pretty good in the wind. I migrated to the 500 class. My everyday heli is a Tarot 500ESP converted to an Align DFC with a Mini-Vbar. The only remaining Tarot part is the main gear casing! It's been crashed THAT many times.
I also own a couple of Blade 130Xs but not for much longer. While they are fun to fly at the local park they are maintenance intensive and I'm tired of it.
Mark Mickels told me about the this site. I enjoy the humor. The tutorials are awesome.
