    Hey guys, I read a few good reviews of the 100A version of this ESC and I really like the Stats of the this 50A

    The size is great it will fit most of the mainstream 450s out there, I know a lot of us here fly the mini Protos and I am afraid it will not fit easily under the battery tray of the Mini P... But it will fit great under the main shaft!

    The unit its self is a nice clean ESC with a "jive like" hard case on the outside, but with big vents for cooling.
    14G wire in and out, are noodle style silicon wire, and the servo lead is 22G and has a fourth wire that is a RPM lead for those using their FBL governors! BEC output 5.2V/6.0V/7.4V adjustable, output current 7A continuous, Peak 15A

    I added the controller to my Gaui X3 and turned the BEC up to 7.4, the cyclic servos really seemed to liven up, I turned pitch pump up to 90 on the VBar and tried to "brown out" the RX and the servos just kept pumping, no sign of a brown out...



    In flight the ESC seems to really do a nice job of governing, it took a bit of doing to get it set correct... I read on a forum it worked just like a YGE but that is not the case... if you follow the provided instructions it works great!

      So I forgot to mention, I do recommend this ESC, I have placed an order for a second one to add to my 450L, I have all HV servos on that machine also, so this ESC just makes sense, powerful BEC, good governor, and easy programing with the multi function box I already have! I ordered a 100A for my friend who is building a Formula X5 so I will have words for that unit within the fortnight!

      The thing I like about this speedy so far is the BEC, rated at 7A continuous. I use the mks95s and they are awesome but i have to use a separate BEC on the YGE 60. Does it have bail out option? I have always wanted to try autos with my 450 but not without a bail out option!

      So far the BEC is great, an yes it has a auto rotate recovery and it works sweet, I did demo it in the flight video at the end I flick it in TH an Out a few times... Spool up rate is maybe 1.75 seconds

      I had another half dozen flights this AM, and I am going to say, this may be the BEST ESC for a 450 under 100.00 USD, and it might be better than some of the ones that cost more!

      this is the esc I picked out last night for my new tareq oxy3 build..Great info guys!

      Not sure which servos you are using, but be sure to test them on the bench first, if you will be running High Voltage. There are some real high powered servos out on the market now days.

      Look forward to your Oxy3 build. :D

      Well. I didn't get to do my Tareq oxy build. But I did order this Hobbywing V3 50A Saturday for the trex 250 I got. I checked the tracking # and it should be here by Friday!

      309.png Well, I got my HobbyWing Platinum 50AMP ESC in today. Very nice looking ESC to me. Plenty of air ventilation on the underside and on one side of it. Comes with a very large a drawn out manual, 2 heat shrink tubes, and 2 zip ties. And some Chinese newspaper if you want to read the news in China.

      Slightly overkill for a 250.... maybe, but pretty much guaranteed to not fail. If you should move up to a 450/500 size heli, you can use the same ESC.
