I'm about 16 flights into flying my new Revolextrix Blend 420 Silver label go packs. That's 8 flights on each pack so far. So you could consider these packs as broken in.
I broke each pack in over 8 flights with some easy flying and flying them down as per below.
flight 1 - 70%
flight 2 - 70%
flight 3 - 60%
flight 4 - 60%
flight 5 - 60%
flight 6 - 50 %
flight 7 - 50%
flight 8 - 30%
Summary of results below
Battery Internal Resistance
Battery IR levels at completion of flight 8 (during storage charge are as per below). Generally across both batteries. IRs are consistently 1.7mOhms - 2.6mOhms (varies based on state of charge) but generally uniform across all cells
Battery IR during charge (nearing charge completion) as per below - consistent for both batteries (pack 1)
Battery Cells Balancing
At this early stage, batteries are balancing perfectly at 4.2v per cell.
Battery Performance - The real deal
From the first flight with these packs, i knew these packs were definitely the real deal. Even though these packs were not broken in yet (my experience has been that real battery potential performance comes after breaking packs in), during my first flight, my finely tuned tail gains had to be dropped 1-2 gain points.
The new packs caused tail gain vibe. At first my thoughts were that I had inadvertently chosen the wrong tail gain settings, but this wasnt the case. I switched packs and put gains back up again, heli flew fine.
Switched packs and flew and tail gains vibes during fast forward flight with hard bank and full collective. I realised the new packs may be delivering more powerfully than my other packs causing the tail gain issue. For now I'm switching tail gain settings between my older packs and these new revo packs.
As far as punch is concerned.. I started pushing my heli a little harder on flight 8 on the new packs and can honestly say they have a lot of punch.
I spoke with Bryan STu about a week ago (who also had the same packs and he commented about tail gains also. Cant be a coincidence!
Summary
Its early days, but so far these batteries feel as though they are outperforming my other packs even though they are only 8 flights in each so far.
Will post back with more regular IRs / videos in due course.
