I wonder if they can be used as direct main shaft power source without any gears due to relatively low kV?
Advantages:
- 7kW of power
- low weight (?) - if they have 1kW/1kg we have already 4.5kw/0.5kg in our BL motors
Disadvantages:
- looks like they require very high voltage (160V)
- lack of suitable ESCs
- high price (?)
Mass production can decrease costs but patents and intelectual property issues can limit wide spread of this relatively old technology.
