With this hobby in order to excel, one must fly frequently. Its very hard to fly once a week and be good unless you are a real HeliGod! I find that if i can manage a fly first thing in the morning with my 450, it helps me feel good for the rest of the day. Its also different when you fly alone as well. I find you learn things quicker when you fly alone and I am not sure why. Its almost as if you really start to feel connected with the helicopter, no one is watching and you start to relax more.. What does everyone else do? Have you managed to find a way to slip a few packs in first thing in the morning before work?

I like flying after work if I can. I have a trex 550 and its easy to put in the car. With 5 packs, I usually have a descent flight time. Flying a few times a week clears the head.

I generally ( weather permitting) fly every day after work, and every weekend. Putting in at least four flights with the 550E, and as many as I can with the 600Ns. This past weekend, I flew from about 8AM-11:30AM at our local club, and then drove up to TORCHS helicopter club...where OHB is held...and finished off the day flying with those guys. :)

Yes I had a great flight this morning... was very relaxing but fast. It helps make you feel complete I think.

So how is the flying going? Are you progressing more? I find flying (without crashing) helps me unwind...

Flying is going fantastically for me, and I have been progressing quite a bit. Tic-tocs are looking much better, and I`m working on doing everything in the opposite directions now. I have also been learning clock wise nose down funnels on the simulator, and I will hopefully be ready to try them with the helicopter soon. :)

That's in my opinion a great time. A fly a day helps keep the stress away!

If I'm lucky I get a few flights Sunday mornings... had a bit of a longer session the last few weeks but that's come to an end...

So your saying I need to fly more to improve? Yeah ain't going to happen...

So @Manyc, is it possible for example to get up earlier in the morning and stop of on the way to work and fly the minip? Just an idea you probably have already contemplated... Likewise after work?

No lunch time flying in the city is really possible... I can occasionally get a pack or two on the way home but I'm currently leaving in the dark and getting home when it's dark...

Plus I park at the station... not keen on leaving anything other than a micro in it...

Not very easy in winter, used to fly 4 packs on the way to work every day. Moved offices & train to the city so no more.

Early morning with the Mini Protos. If I am working near one of the Australian Freestyle Flyers fields I will take a 700 just in case I get a chance to spread it's wing for the day. I go hard for a few weeks and back it off, for some reason I find after the week off of flying when I return is when I fly my best. i think it is good to take a little time out.
